My research interests are:

- Psychological, Social and Collaborative aspects of Programming
- Programmers as users ranging from experienced professionals to end-users
- API Design and Usability
My wife (Amber) and I met while we were students at NC State, were married in 2001, and moved to Pennsylvania in 2003. In February 2009, we had a baby girl (Harper). We enjoy travel, theatre, board games, ACC basketball, and Big10 football. I also spend a great deal of time working on our house.
Some of the more interesting things about me include: my first bedroom was a closet in married student housing at NC State; I have worked at Disney World (lifeguard at Blizzard Beach), a TV station, a music store, as a waiter, and as a swing-shift worker on the mill floor at a paper mill; I used to play piano at restaurants, weddings, and receptions; and I started college when I was 16 years old.
